Access statement

Little Gaddesden B&B is a Bed & Breakfast in a recently renovated house on the edge of a small, rural village.

We have 3 double bedrooms, one of which can be configured as a twin facility.
 All bedrooms have either en-suite or private bathroom facilities. Access is via a gravel driveway and entry to the property is through a paved porch entrance with steps to the main door. 
The bedroom accommodation is situated on the 1st floor of the property.

Please Telephone or e-mail for availability. Little Gaddesden B&B is situated in the centre of the picturesque village of Little Gaddesden. The nearest railway station is about6 miles way – either Hemel Hempstead or Berkhamsted 
stations. The nearest mobility shopping scheme is located in the Marlowes shopping centre at Hemel Hempstead. Taxis are generally available at the stations or can be pre-booked for service in the local areas – please ask for details. There is an occasional bus service into the village provided by Read Eagle. The service numbers are 30, 31 and 32, and the timetable can be found here.

Accommodation is suitable for guests with visual or hearing impairment who are accompanied by others; people that can ensure their safety. Unfortunately, our accommodation is not suitable for guests with mobility impairment due to steps and stairs, etc. As we have our own dogs, we cannot accommodate guests with their own dogs.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
Off street Parking is available upon request on the driveway close to the entrance of the property. The surface of the drive is gravel. There are steps up to the entrance. There is an entrance bell for attention of the owners. The area leading to entrance is well lit with sensor lighting. Once inside the property, there are steps and the accommodation is on the first floor. Please discuss with owners about access. Access is usually from 6.00pm.

Public Areas – Entrance, Hall, Stairs, Landing, Corridors, etc
There is an alternative entrance if necessary – please ask the owners. There is no loop system. Additional keys are available on request 
during your stay; these must be returned on departure. Familiarisation tour of accommodation is available. Arrival time is 6.00pm and check out time is 9.30am.

Flooring is a combination of carpet and wood finishes, with stone flooring in kitchen/dining area. The public area is a hallway with easy access to the entry door and accommodation.

Public Areas – Sitting room, lounges, lobbies, etc
There are no public seating or lounge facilities.

Public WCs
There are no public WCs.

Breakfast is served in the kitchen in the main house. Seating is at the kitchen table. Menu options are provided the previous evening. Non-smoking policy applies. Entry to the dining area is from the hall way.

We aim to cater for varying dietary requirements – please discuss when making your reservation.

There is no laundry service provided.

The nearest mixed retail shopping 6 miles away. There is a well-stocked village shop and village pub approximately 100m away from the B&B.

Bedrooms & Sleeping Areas
There are no special provisions for the disabled. Flooring is carpet. Twin and double beds. Kettle and fridge provided.

Bathroom, Shower & WC
All bedrooms have either en-suite or private bathroom facilities. Smoke alarms in room.Bathroom 9ft x 9ft. Doors with handles open inwards. Shower/bath facilities with no handles.

WC is new style with push button dual flush.

Additional Information
